BIOS
Trumpeter Thomas Bergeron is a critically-acclaimed jazz musician as well as a renowned classical artist (Principal trumpet with the Springfield Symphony and the newest member of the Atlantic Brass Quintet). Bergeron’s creative projects cross-pollinate the music of his favorite classical composers with the sounds and performance practices of jazz. His latest project features an intimate quartet with Bergeron on trumpet/flugelhorn, Jason Ennis on classical and electric guitars, Vitor Gonçalves on accordion, and Alex Smith on acoustic bass. For their performance at Historic North Hall, Thomas’ quartet will be interpreting music of Scriabin, Liszt, Messiaen, Takemitsu, and Debussy alongside original compositions and jazz standards.
